OCD shows up in many different ways. Some people experience contamination fears and cleaning rituals. Others struggle with harm OCD, intrusive thoughts about hurting themselves or others that feel deeply distressing and inconsistent with who they are. Religious and moral scrupulosity, relationship OCD, and "just right" OCD are also common. Intrusive thoughts about identity, sexuality, or responsibility are equally treatable with the right approach. Whatever form OCD takes for you, it does not define you and it doesn't have to keep running your life.
